Abstract
Abstract: Seasonal changes in the timing of circadian activity rhythms have been recorded in mammals, birds, reptiles and arthropods. There are probably far more wide spread than is generally realised and are especially important in desert regions with large daily temperature fluctuations. Synchronisation of the onset of circadian activity with changes in the times of dusk and dawn is achieved mainly by responses to changes in photoperiod.
